With Cahootz, investors can either join one of our existing property cohorts, or suggest any other available property and let us build the investment, manage the purchase, and distribute ownership shares on their behalf.

Whilst traditional property investment often relies on leverage (mortgaging), Cahootz enables property acquisition without the need for debt, providing security of ownership and protection against future interest rate rises. Buying without leverage also enables negotiation from a position of strength as a cash buyer, and removes financial liability in the event of a rent shortfall.

In addition to carrying out the purchase, we take care of all ongoing legal, financial, tenancy and day-to-day property management requirements on behalf of cohorts. Investors need a simple way to manage their growing portfolio, track rental income and receive updates from their property management team. With the Cahootz app investors can do all of this on the go, as well as access new investment opportunities, communicate with co-investors, and buy and sell ownership shares on the secondary market.

Cash out when you need to

With Cahootz, investors don’t need to go through a lengthy property sale to release their equity. At any time after 12 months ownership, property shares can be bought and sold easily on our secondary market, providing investors with the liquidity to cash out or move their investment to a new property as the market changes.
